This week is a very exciting one for our Private Family Law Team who have been nominated for not one, but three awards at the Northern Law Awards.
The annual awards celebrate the extraordinary achievements of the people within the legal profession in the North of England, whether that be law firms, in house law departments as well as a variety of organisations linked to the industry.
The region is full of fantastic lawyers and to be nominated for three awards is something we are extremely proud of.
Wendy Beacom, Partner, and Head of the Private Family Law Team is nominated for Lawyer of the Year, which, to be nominated is an outstanding achievement in itself.
Wendy was made Partner at Tilly Bailey & Irvine in 2021 after being recognised for her hard work and commitment to providing an excellent service to all clients, the firm and being a wonderful support to the team around her.
Wendy’s dedication to her career saw her becoming an accredited specialist family lawyer with Resolution – an organisation that advocates a non-adversarial approach and a more collaborative way of dealing with cases.
As well as Wendy’s nomination, Jessica Inman, a solicitor with the Private Family Law Team, has been shortlisted for Rising Star of the Year.
In order to be shortlisted for this category, nominees must demonstrate excellent legal skills, outstanding career development, client service skills, initiative, significant impact in light of time in practice, and the ability to contribute to the future management and growth of an organisation. These are all qualities that Jessica shows with ease, so it is a real pleasure seeing her being recognised for her hard work.
The full Private Family Law team, from Partner to support staff, work with each other to provide a service that is second to none. Therefore, it is no surprise that the full team has been nominated for Team of the Year – Family Law.
Regardless of the outcome of the awards on Thursday evening, we are proud of the team for being selected as finalists. The calibre of law firms across the North East is exceptional, and to be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry is fantastic.
